In October 2024, the Educating Talents project held its fourth and last Teaching and Learning Activity (TLA4) in Linz and Wels, Austria. Hosted by the Austrian partners, the event gathered educators from six European countries for three days of inspiring exchange, professional development, and community building. During the days three methods were presented, How to recognize talented learners and twice exceptionals, Motivation through individualization and Innovative problem solving.
The specialists presented “Motivation Through Individualisation”, with in-depth presentations by educational experts. Sessions focused on identifying and supporting talented learners, the WALLI model and best practices in inclusive and talent-oriented classrooms.
We visited the Gymnasium Dachsberg, a model school for talent education and Welios Science Center, where participants discussed how museums can foster innovative thinking and sustainability education. The hands-on sessions at Johannes Kepler University (JKU) allowed participants to experience and develop problem-solving tasks for talented learners.
Throughout the TLA, collaboration, reflection, and cultural exchange remained central. The event concluded with evaluation activities and renewed commitments to the development of the project’s eHandbook and Community of Practice on EPALE.
