Sjölin’s educational concept is based on a holistic view of knowledge. Traditional educational concepts often treat subjects individually, for example history and English are taught in different contexts. At Sjölins, we believe that by combining subjects and putting the subjects into a context, it enhances the education and increases learning for our students. At Sjölins, the teaching is centered around different types of cases. A Sjölins case is based on a real event, situation or dilemma. Each Sjölins case is cross-disciplinary, where several courses and subjects work together on the same case. Our pedagogy is inspired by the Case Methodology used at Harvard Business School. The approach is preparatory for college and university, preparing our students for challenges they may encounter in their future professional lives. Our mission is to provide our students with the best conditions for further studies and professional life, while also training social skills and growing as human beings.
Sjölins gymnasium consists of five schools, one in Gothenburg, three schools in Stockholm and one in Malmö. At Sjölins Gymnasium, we offer upper secondary education in the following programs.
– Economics
– The Natural Science Program
– The Social Science Program
During the academic year of 2019/2020, more than 1800 students attended our schools. Sjölins has been conducting education since 2000 and has been a member of the education group AcadeMedia since 2013. Link
